An important source of information about new writers and their work comes from the unsolicited scripts that we receive, and so we welcome scripts from all UK writers and consider all scripts sent in to The New Works. If we decide not to take a script further, we will inform the writer by letter, and return the script with feedback (providing a stamped and addressed envelope is enclosed). Once a script has been passed on to the reading panel, we will aim to respond to the writer within eight weeks. It is important to stress that most of the Company's productions are conceived through commissioned plays, however if there is potential in an unsolicited script The New Works will consider further development.
At the moment The New Works is at commission capacity and subsequently we will not be accepting speculative scripts until September 2008. Please feel free to send us your work then.
